The Collegian is a space for news and opinion concerning the happenings on and off the Macleans College campus and the wider community. We promise to voice the opinions of the students while offering thoughtful context and insightful debate. Our news reporting of events within the school community strives to be accurate, objective and impartial.
Editorial control of The Collegian rests with the student editorial team and with Ms. Fisher, the teacher in charge of the Writers Club. Funding comes from club donations and fundraising events.
Our editorial guidelines are public and can be viewed here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lt6MaKVI76yTIjSK8_UMZcdY5Yc2p_mq2eGtSVXgv3k/
The opinions expressed in The Collegian are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the official policy and views of the Board of Trustees, faculty, or school administration and opinion articles are statements of the individual writer, not of the publication.
The Collegian is one of two student publications at Macleans College. The Macleans College News Committee was established in 2012 and can be found separately at macleansnews.com.
